Fishing without a licence on a private pond

Fishing without a licence on a private pond

Pack a rod, arrive, and cast. No fishing licences, no crowds at the water, no strangers on the bank beside you. At the House on the Water you get a private pond right below the windows, and for the whole of your stay it belongs to you alone.

Your own water, no licence needed

The pond is part of the rental, so you need no state fishing licence or local permit. Cast whenever you like, from dawn to dusk, straight from the terrace above the water, the wooden jetty, or the boat. Nobody is looking over your shoulder and nobody takes your favourite spot.

What you can catch

The pond is stocked for sport fishing. You will mostly meet:

  • carp, including trophy fish,
  • zander and pike for predator lovers,
  • grass carp and coarse fish.

We fish strictly catch and release, so the next guest can enjoy the pond too and the fish keep growing to a proper size.

Fishing the way it should be: in peace

The real luxury is not the size of the catch but the silence. You wake to a still water surface, make a coffee, and walk straight to the bank. When the fish are not biting, you move to the Finnish sauna or the hot tub, and in the evening you light the grill on the terrace. Time by the water and real rest go hand in hand here.

When to come

The main season runs from spring to autumn, when the fish are most active. Autumn adds colour and post-holiday calm. Even off-season, the pond is entirely yours.
