Everything You Need
Above the tranquil water surface, up to four guests will find their stay. The entire house is exclusively yours throughout – no neighbours, no other visitors. Two bright bedrooms, a spacious living room with a fireplace, a bathroom and wellness facilities are at your disposal. See what it looks like in our gallery.
Kitchen
The heart of the house is a fully equipped kitchen complete with appliances and tableware. You can cook for yourself or surrender to absolute relaxation while a private chef takes care of your menu. An outdoor grill is also available. For coffee lovers: lever espresso machine, drip brewer, moka pot and French press. Tea enthusiasts will be looked after too – a variable-temperature electric kettle for different teas. In the kitchen you will also find coffee, teas, sugar, small sweet treats, oil, pepper and salt.
Bathroom & Wellness
Walk-in shower with massage jets or a bathtub. Towels, hand towels, hairdryer and all toiletries including Alverde natural cosmetics are a given. From the bathroom you step directly into the Finnish sauna, which is at your unlimited disposal. Outside, a hot tub with massage jets and salt water awaits – open all year round beneath the sky. You can also enjoy a massage right in the house. A washer-dryer and eco-friendly laundry detergents are available.
Bedrooms
You will sink into spacious beds, and on waking you will be greeted by a breathtaking view across the pond and the awakening countryside. Let the world beyond the windows drift by and savour the magical moments of absolute privacy.
Main Room
The scent of wood and the flickering flames of the fireplace set just the right atmosphere. Listen to the radio, connect to Spotify, use the Wi-Fi, read a book – or simply watch the sun disappear over the horizon as nature slowly settles down to sleep.
Extras
Make your stay even more enjoyable with books and magazines, Netflix, or one of our board games. Wi-Fi is a given. For sports enthusiasts we have basic fitness equipment. We are also happy to lend you bicycles.
Terrace & Pond
Spend your free moments on the terrace with outdoor seating and a gas grill directly above the water. Step down into the pond, or sink into the warm water of the year-round hot tub with massage jets and salt water. Next to the house there is also a seating area with a wood or charcoal grill and a grilling stone. In the summer months you will be delighted by a herb garden and fresh berries.
Fishing
Love to fish? The pond is yours alone throughout your stay – catch-and-release fishing directly from the terrace or from a boat. No permits required, the pond is private. Carp, grass carp, zander and pike are waiting right beneath your windows.

Telč
A Renaissance gem of Vysočina inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The heart of the town is the picturesque Zacharias of Hradec Square lined with rows of colourful Renaissance and Baroque houses. Beneath the square lies the Telč Underground full of mysterious passages. A visit to Telč State Château with its English park adds to the fairy-tale atmosphere. The town is an ideal destination for an afternoon stroll – just 15 minutes by car from House Above Water.

Janštejn Castle Ruins
Hidden in the forests behind the village of Nová Ves stand the ruins of Janštejn Castle, a protected cultural monument. The Gothic castle was built in the 14th century by the House of Luxembourg, and only modest remains have survived to this day – above all the remnants of its towers. It was most likely destroyed during the Hussite Wars, when many of the surrounding villages also vanished – Nová Ves itself later grew on their place. The walk through the forest to the ruins is a pleasant stroll into the history and nature of Vysočina.

Beech Forest Above the Ponds
On the summit of Bražský Hill, the highest point above the Na Pastvištích ponds, lies a hidden island of original beech forest surrounded by ordinary mixed woodland. Mighty beeches form a natural cathedral with a singular atmosphere and a far-reaching view of the surrounding landscape. If you pause and fall silent, you may easily encounter the wildlife that has grown fond of this peaceful place. An ideal destination for a morning walk or a moment without signal.
